Yan ba ang kadalasan na sagot mo sa tuwing tinatanong ka?
Na kahit may hinanakit ka ay, “Okay lang ako” pa din ang sagot mo?
May mga tao talaga na kahit anong itanong mo ay “Okay lang ako” or “I’m fine” ang sagot nila kahit meron sila dinadamdam. Bakit may mga taong ganun sumagot? To avoid arguments para maiwasan ang stress. Kasi kung paguusapan pa, eh mauuwi lang naman sa pagsisigawan or pagsusumbatan or pagtatalo. But remaining silent will not solve anything. Avoiding it will not solve it but will only make it worse.
I want to highlight the importance of being honest with others and yourself at all times. And saying, “Okay lang ako,” kahit hindi naman talaga ay one form of disrespecting others and yourself, because you are lying.
So may I suggest the following…
BE HONEST
Tell your friends and loved ones that you are not okay. And if you’re not ready to elaborate, tell them to give you time. Timing lang! Sometimes, you just need to cool off. Pero at least alam ng mga taong nakapaligid sa iyo yung tunay mong nararamdaman.
There’s no other way but to be honest! Kaya kahit mahirap, at alam kong mahirap, magpakatotoo.
At kung nagawa mong maging honest, you have to . .
DECIDE
Decide what? Kung ano ang next step mo. Di naman kasi pwedeng naging honest tapos you keep everyone in the dark. Dapat ay ipaalam mo sa kanila kung ano ang desisyon mo, kung ano ang susunod mong gagawin.
Being honest paves the way for possibilities sa desisyon na pwede mong gawin. So don’t stop by just saying, “Okay lang ako” even if you’re not.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
Okay ka lang ba talaga? Kasi kung hindi, maging honest ka sa sarili mo, nang sa gayon ay mapagdesisyunan mo kung tama at paano mareresolba ang iyong problema.
