HOW CAN WE BREAK THE HABIT OF APATHY?
May mga kakilala ba kayo na mga taong walang pakialam?
May mga iba naman na masyadong pakialamero.
In other words, we cannot go to the extreme of both worlds.
We need to be discerning, kung kailan tayo makikialam at kung kailan hindi.
How can we do that?
BE SENSITIVE
Before we respond or do something, tingnan muna natin kung may masasaktan o maapektuhan. Palagi nating obserbahan ang ating paligid at tingnan kung ano ang maaari nating gawin para makatulong at mapabuti ang kalagayan ng ibang tao.
DON’T GROW WEARY
Huwag tayong mapagod sa paggawa ng tama at ng mabuti. Maaaring hindi ito mapapansin ng iba, ngunit sigurado naman akong nakikita ito ng ating Diyos sa langit. He will surely reward us as we continue to do the things that pleases Him.
SET YOUR PRIORITIES
Alamin mo kung ano ang mga bagay na higit at dapat mong pinagtutuunan ng pansin. Isipin mo kung ano ba ang mahalaga sayo. Halimbawa, mahalaga sayo ang pamilya mo. Kung sila ang top priority mo, dapat may pakialam ka sa happenings sa buhay ng mga anak at asawa mo. You should spend quality time with them and nurture your relationship with them.
WEAR THEIR SHOES
Bago ka mag-decide, isipin mo muna kung yun din ang gusto mong gawin sayo. Subukan mong lumagay sa kanilang kalagayan. Magugustuhan mo ba kung walang tutulong o papansin sayo? May kasabihan nga tayo, “Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you.”
THINK OF GOD
Palagi nating isipin na may Diyos na laging may pakialam sa atin. He knows our every need, every tear that fall from our eyes. He knows our desires and He is not apathetic. May pakialam siya. Kung sakaling may mga taong pinapabayaan ka at walang pakialam sa iyo…ang Diyos, never kang pababayaan.
