Ramdam mo ba na…
Mas malaki ang gastos kaysa sa kita?
Lubog ka ba sa utang?
Madalas bang may tensiyon pagdating sa pera?
If you answered “YES” to all my questions, then you are most likely being controlled by money.
Ilan sa mga pinagmumulan nito ay kapag pinapabayaan nating mangibabaw ang ating gusto o WANTS.
We all have needs but most of the time the pressure is to meet the WANTS over our NEEDS.
And the most common RESPONSE is to satisfy this INSATIABLE DESIRE, which eventually leads to overspending and then WORRY.
You may not be aware of this but worry is the main reason why you are unable to think OBJECTIVELY no matter how hard you try to fit your expenses into your budget.
The end result- BURST OF EMOTIONS, and therefore you end up deciding to solve your money-problems the wrong way – BORROWING MONEY.
So, instead of solving your problem, you are actually adding up to your misery.
Sometimes, the issue may be about…
CONTENTMENT
You actually earn enough, but you want MORE.
You make excuses to justify spending on your wants and turn them into needs.
So you end up prioritizing THINGS YOU DO NOT NEED with the income that you earn which is JUST ENOUGH for your needs.
And I think, it all boils down to …
SELF-DISCIPLINE
Think about this: It is you who has the ABILITY to think and not money.
It is you who will DECIDE where your money will go: into your wallet, into your pocket or into investment. Money cannot make its own way into the cash register to pay for a brand new phone. It takes CONSTANT discipline to decide on the right thing to do.
But if you begin to experience STRUGGLE at this point, it is entirely understandable. Attaining discipline in this area will not happen overnight. You need PRACTICE. And the wonderful thing about it is that you can practice EVERYDAY.
“DISCONTENTMENT makes us buy things we do not need and leave us only living in REGRET.”
