Pero bago ka pa umayaw kapatid, let us accept that what happens in life is beyond our control.
But we can sure control how we respond to it.
So ano ang tamang response?
The secret?
POSITIVE THINKING.
“Chinkee, how can we develop positive thinking in a negative situation?”
FILTER
Positive thinkers do not focus on the bad. For them, it is a waste of time at kapag sinayang nila ang oras sa kakaisip sa kanegahan, eh lalo lang maiipon ng maiipon ang sama ng loob nila.
Filter the negative, focus on the positive.
DON’T TAKE FAILURE PERSONALLY
When you fail and make mistakes, don’t dwell on it but instead learn from it. The biggest mistake that anyone can make is blaming oneself.
“Di kasi AKO nagiisip eh!”
“Kaasar! Wrong move AKO dun!”
“Bakit kasi yun pa napili KO?”
“Palpak nanaman AKO.”
To practice positive thinking, start by forgiving yourself for what happened.
Remember that…
OVERTHINKING leads to WORRY.
WORRY leads to CONFUSION.
CONFUSION leads to LACK OF PEACE OF MIND.
LACK OF PEACE OF MIND leads to DEPRESSION.
Dwell on the present. Take it one day at a time. Control what you can and let go of what you cannot.
If you make a conscious decision to think positive no matter what happens, you will feel and see a lot of changes in your life.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
Have you been forgetting how to be positive?
How can you change your thinking para mas gumaan ang loob mo?
