“Buti pa sila ang payat.”
“Hay nako! Nasa kanya na lahat. Life is unfair”
“Nung umulan ng kagandahan sinalo na niya ata lahat!”
Been there, done that.
Pero dapat din natin ma-realize na oo, walang perpekto pero we can always change our perspective about ourselves sa paraan na mas maipapakita natin how much we appreciate what we’ve been blessed with.
Maitim, kulot, maliit, kwadrado ang mukha, salat ang ilong, o kahit ano pa iyan, dapat diba nagpapasalamat ka at wala kang kamukha? Magpasalamat dahil God thought about you at nagbuhos Siya ng oras at panahon para lang maging iba ka, na mag-stand out ka, and to distinguish you well from others.
ACCEPTANCE IS THE FIRST STEP.
So ngayon, how do you embrace this gift?
CALL IT A BLESSING, NOT A FLAW
WALANG MALI SAYO. Everything about you is a blessing kasi sa maniwala ka???t sa hindi, yung mga ayaw mo sa sarili mo, madaming naghahangad na magkaroon sila nito. Yung iba nga ipinagdadasal pa ito due to unfortunate events in their lives tulad ng naaksidente sila or ito???y inborn. Kaya napakaswerte mo kung tutuusin.
LIST ALL YOUR STRENGTHS, GOALS AND ACHIEVEMENTS OR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Ano ba yung hinahangaan mo sa sarili mo? Make a checklist and do not skip a thing dahil yan ang magsisilbing motivating factor and encouragement mo when you feel down.
Example: I love myself kasi…
…Mahaba ang pasensya ko
…Ang ganda ng buhok ko
…Mahaba ang pilikmata ko
…Maliit pero napakabilis ko kumilos
…Madiskarte ako sa buhay
Siguro naiisip mo “Baka naman ang conceited ko o nagbubuhat ng sariling bangko” No, you’re not. You are just helping yourself to focus on the good side to uplift your spirit and gain confidence.
AVOID CRITICIZING YOURSELF
Nilalait mo yung itsura o kakayahan mo kaya in effect, lalo kang nade-depressed.
Change the way you treat or talk to yourself.
Instead of saying: “Ang pangit talaga ng ilong ko!”
Say: “Maganda ako kahit ganito ilong ko” or
Instead of saying: “Para akong balyena. Badtrip.”
Say: “Papayat din ako dahil disiplinado ako”
BE WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE
Surround yourself with people who will accept you for who you are. Yung hindi ka i-judge and will even compliment you for your humor, for your stories na hinahanap hanap nila, or people who finds you pretty or handsome–in short, people who makes you feel important.
Don’t waste your time sa mga taong walang ginawa kundi i-down ka at iparamdam sa iyo na you are insignificant, because YOU ARE NOT.
BE YOURSELF
Hindi mo kailangan magpanggap para tanggapin ka ng tao because you will just lose your identity if you do that.
Gaya nga ng sinabi ko, there’s so much beauty in you.
Anong gagawin mo para you’ll see everything as a blessing and not as flaw?
