There’s something about its taste and aroma na gumigising sa diwa natin.
Routine na para sa atin ang bumili at uminom ng coffee – iba’t-ibang sizes na, iba’t ibang flavor pa – from Mocha Frappuccino, Hazelnut, Caramel Macchiato, Espresso, Brewed, to simpleng Barako.
Masarap, feel-good, at picker-upper. Pero alam niyo bang this is one of the main reasons kung bakit kinakapos tayo sa pera at budget?
LACK OF SELF-CONTROL
After lunch, bili ng coffee.
After office hours, bili pa rin ng coffee.
Sa bawat pagkakataon, lalo na kapag we have easy access, mahirap kapag wala tayong pinapalagpas. In other words, out of control na at hindi na kumpleto ang araw mo na walang kape.
STATUS SYMBOL
Minsan, nagiging sukatan ang pagbili ng kape para masabi na tayo’y well-off or “can afford”.
Feeling kasi natin, kapag may hawak tayong ganito, we’re holding something valuable.
Hindi tayo required bumili nito just to make us look good sa mata ng ibang tao. Kahit pa 3- in-1 lang ang iniinom natin, kung meron naman tayong ipon, then that’s something we can be more proud of.
CHOOSY PA
“Eh, masarap kasi ‘yung kape doon.”
“3-in-1?
During these times na sakto lang ang ating budget, hindi na natin kailangan i-pressure ang ating mga sarili to have something that we can’t really afford. Kung anong available, matuto tayong makuntento at magpasalamat.
Imagine how much money we spend for branded coffee.
One cup usually costs P130.00 x 5 days:
P 650.00/week
P 2,600/month
P 31,200/year
Ha? P31,200/year?
The amount you are spending on coffee is enough to buy a high-end smartphone.
Kaya the next time may urge ka to buy coffee, think before you sip.
We can always look for alternatives to satisfy our taste buds without burning our money. Switch to a less expensive choice, instead.
If you still prefer branded ones, you might want to consider na bawasan ang trips mo to coffeeshops from 5 days to twice a week, so you can save more.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
What are your reasons for buying it?
Ano pang alternative ang naiisip mo para masiyahan ka without destroying your budget?
