Are you torn between with what you want for yourself and what others want for you?
Essentially, our life today is a product of our decision and CHOICES in the past.
Pinili mong maghintay para sa right person for you kaya you’re now married to the woman or man of your dreams.
Ang mga bagay na pipiliin mong gawin ngayon will have an impact on what tomorrow will bring you. The truth is, we only have limited control of our lives–but we can surely control how we live our lives today.
Pero ganoon nga lang ba kadali to decide for ourselves?
Let me encourage you to consider this before you make any decision.
DON’T FOLLOW YOUR HEART’S DESIRES
Narinig mo na ba yung payo na, “FOLLOW YOUR HEART’S DESIRES” Okay ito kung ang pinaguusapan natin is to pursue something you love to do in your life, like a hobby and career.
What is it that your heart desires?
Is it to disobey your parent para sundin ang tibok ng iyong puso?
Let me tell you the truth, timbangin mo muna bago ka sumulong. Anything that can lead you into hurting others and is not consistent sa kung ano ang tama sa buhay ay mali.
“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” – Jeremiah 17:9
How many have you trusted with your heart and ended up broken hearted.
PRAY FOR GOD’S WISDOM
There are times that our desires are clouded, that’s why my next point is equally important as the first.
More often than not ay may mga desisyon tayo na ang sarili nating kakayanan o abilidad ang ating pinagbabasehan. Nalilimutan natin na tayo ay limitado lamang, that we always have to depend not on our strengths, but on God whose strength is unlimited.
And expect for God’s grace na babalot sa iyo that you will experience na makakapag decide ka for yourself–not in a selfish way or because of selfish motives–but because God wants you to do selfless acts in His name.
But at the end of the day, walang makakapag decide for you but yourself. Kaya there’s no better way than deciding to go for what God wants you to do, what His will is for your life. And you can only understand His will once you pray and ask for wisdom.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
Para makapagdecide ka for yourself, pray for God’s wisdom that you will understand His will for you so that you will follow your heart’s desire that is in line with God’s desire.
