Does this look familiar ba?
I’ve mentioned in my previous blog na Christmas is about togetherness…and togetherness doesn’t only refer to physical closeness, but also connecting with them emotionally – something that you can include ngayong Christmas party ninyo na talagang tatatak sa puso at isipan ng bawat isa hindi lang hanggang sa pag uwi nila kundi for the rest of their lives.
Sa paanong paraan?
1. OPEN MIC POLICY
Alam niyo yung pupunta lang kayo sa harap at magpapasalamat sa isa, dalawa, o higit pang tao na nagbigay ng kulay sa taon na ito sa iyo?
That’s how an open mic policy works. Puwede mauna ang host para hindi na magturuan kung sino ang unang magsasalita and the rest will follow. Thanking a special person will make him/her realize na kahit na may mga oras na tingin niya eh walang nakakaalala sa kanya o wala siyang nagawang tama, meron pala, at ikaw yun.
Halimbawa: “Gusto kong pasalamatan si ___________dahil siya ang ______________”
2. HONOR THY PARENTS
When was the last time that you honored your parents or yung mga taong tumulong sa iyo to shape you into who you are today? Yun bang sila lang ang bida at walang ibang kahati sa oras mo to make them happy, feel important and appreciated?
Well, this is the perfect time to do it. How?
For example:
-
- Plan it all out – Ang mga kabataan na ang mag-aayos ng lahat mula sa venue, decorations, program, food, at gastusin. Wala na silang gagawin kundi umattend lang.Masaya makita na hindi sila yung nais-stress this time at pa-relax relax lang because you???ve handled everything with the help of your cousins and/or mga apo nila.
- Video Presentation – Pwede niyo ipakita lahat ng pictures or memories that you???ve shared this year as well as the struggles na pinagdaanan niyo and how they???ve helped you overcome it.
- Scrapbook – This will require a lot of effort pero balewala ito sa mga nagawa nila para sayo. Compile pictures, poems, or lyrics of songs that will remind them of how much you love them sa tuwing bubuksan nila ito.
- Surprise Presentation – Gather all your cousins and perform a simple dance or song number for the people na may malaking kinalaman sa buhay mo like your grandparents, parents, titos, and titas.Kayo mismo maiiyak kapag nakita mo yung priceless smiles nila for your unexpected and unique gift for them.
3. KRIS KRINGLE
Gift-giving has always been a part of our Christmas tradition pero mas magiging makabuluhan kung isasama natin ang ibang tao sa kasiyahan by extending a hand to them.
Instead of the usual gift giving and kris kringle, bakit hindi niyo subukan na ang category niyo ay para sa kapakanan ng iba na ibibigay sa kanila tuwing araw ng revelation or gift-giving.
Example: Children’s hospital patients
-
-
- Something educational – Books, crayons, paper, or pencils
- Something healthy to eat – Basket of fruits, multivitamins, or bag of vegetables
- Something to play with – Toy cars, barbie dolls, board games, o kahit anong safe na laruin
-
4. OFFICE OR FAMILY CAROLING
5. INVITE A FAMILY OVER
Kung napapanuod niyo yung palabas na ‘Day-off’ na kung saan binibigyan ng rest day yung mga tao o family na deserving, parang ganun ang gagawin niyo.
Go on with your usual family or office party pero ang special guests niyo ay yung family ng mga nasa maintenance department niyo for example or maski family from outside na gusto niyo makasalo sa araw na iyon.
It’s heartwarming to see that you are not the only ones who are enjoying, sila din. I tell you, hindi nila makakalimutan iyon.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY
Anong plano mong gawing kakaiba ngayong Christmas party?
Bakit ka magse-celebrate at para kanino mo ito iaalay?
Naisama mo ba sa program mo ang paghahandog ng pasasalamat sa mga taong tumulong sa iyo?
