That’s not the point.
LIVING WITHIN YOUR MEANS
President Duterte chose to live in the same place. Although he is encouraged to live sa Presidential House para malapit lang sa Malacanang, halos ayaw pa niya at gusto niya pa rin manirahan sa Davao. Even his family is invited to live here in Manila. But according to the news, his family is staying in Davao. They want the simple life in Davao.
Kahit tumaas na ang source of income ni Pangulong Duterte, he did not increase his standard of living.
Though choosing a standard of living is a choice, depende sa preferences and discretion ng tao, I still want to share with you some thoughts regarding this matter.
It is a bad habit to live beyond our means. Kapag ganito ang gagawin natin, we will be leading ourselves to destruction. We should also stop comparing ourselves with others. “Bakit siya may ganoon, ako wala?” “Bakit siya ganyan, ako hindi?” We should learn to be contented, to be grateful for what we already have.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
What is your standard of living?
Are you living within your means?
