STUDY HARD FOR A FUTURE SO BRIGHT

Madalas bukambibig ng ating mga magulang, studyhard

“Anak, mag-aral kayong mabuti ha para magkaroon kayo ng magandang trabaho…”

Ang iba siguro sa atin ay bata pa lang, ito na ang kinalakihan.
Elementary pa lang ay lagi ng laman ng quizbee,
extemporaneous speech, essay contest at iba pa.
Madalas laging hakot award tuwing recognition programs.
Kaya’t magpahanggang kolehiyo ay naging achiever na.
Anong saya nga naman ang naidudulot ng ganito sa mga magulang?

O baka ang iba sa atin ay hindi pa lubos maintindihan
kung bakit madalas ito ang bukambibig nila.
Kung bakit may mga pagkakataon
na kahit hirap na sila sa pagtatrabaho
ay patuloy pa rin sila, makapagtapos lang tayo.

DAHIL ANG EDUKASYON AY HINDI MANANAKAW NINUMAN

Bukod sa maganda at mabuting kalooban, studyhard
ang edukasyon ang isa sa hindi madaling makuha.
Sabi nga nila, “kayamanan” na hindi mananakaw ninuman.
Kahit sabihin pa na magpa-transplant tayo ng utak (Ha-ha!).

Kaya’t payamanin pa natin ito ng husto.
Ang talino na nakukuha natin through books, theories,
lectures and demonstrations at schools,
all these add to our intellectual quotient.
As the studying and learning years go by,
we also get to change and mature on the way we think and behave.
We also get to acquire important values and life learnings
na maipapasa rin natin sa generation later on in life.

We just don’t learn by the book, instructions and theories studyhard
as we pursue our education at school.
Usually we encounter different teachers in different subjects each year.
And there will always be those teachers who instruct
life skills besides the subjects they’re expected to teach.

Life skills like how to earn extra income through our hobby or talent.
How at an early age can we start a small business?
Or even, how can we acquire a business-oriented mindset?
O kaya naman, paano maging wais in life?
These little things we thought are less important
are the things we might actually need the most.

May mga iba na nagsasabing kahit hindi tapos sa pag-aaral,
pwede pa rin namang maging successful sa career.
Tama rin naman sila. Kung ang goal natin sa buhay
ay yumaman lang, pwede natin itong magawa
kahit sa anong paraan na gugustuhin natin.

Pero kung ang hanap natin ay security at confidence
sa ating propesyon at future career goals in life,
iba pa rin ang degree holder pagdating sa labanan sa career.
Because one of the basic requirements in applying
for a full-time and stable job is a college degree.
Kung nakapagtapos tayo, hindi tayo mahihirapang makapag-apply
sa mga positions we’ll be interested in
under the company we are aspiring to become part with.

Sa madaling sabi, mas madali para sa ating magkaroon ng trabaho
upang kumita ng pera, makapag-ipon,
at para hindi na umasa sa hingi sa ating mga magulang.
