Sad reality?
Meron talagang mga boss,
kaopisina, o yung mismong trabaho
na napaka toxic.
Ano ba yung ibig sabihin ng toxic?
Simplihan na lang natin — ito yung
halos sumabog na ang ulo natin sa
sobrang daming ginagawa, demands,
at pressure sa workplace.
Dito ginagamit yung famous line na:
“Yung stress ko lagpas ulo na!”
Nasubmit naman natin yung report,
sinunod naman natin yung instructions,
at umabot naman na tayo sa deadline
pero HINDI NILA NAKIKITA YUN.
So, technically, we did nothing wrong.
May mga tao lang talaga na pipigain tayo
at sasagarin hanggang sa maubos ang pasensya natin.
Hanggat makakapagsingit ng gagawin,
Hanggat makakapuna ng mali,
gagawin nila because they think na
dapat “SULITIN” yung binabayad sa atin.
Sa kagustuhan nating ma-please sila
minsan mapapaisip na lang tayo na
“Teka, they are already stealing our own happiness at work!”
Hindi ko naman sinabing pumetiks lang tayo
to make us happy. What I mean is,
we can’t see our worth anymore dahil sa ginagawa nila.
Pero trabaho ‘yan eh.
‘Yan ang bumubuhay sa atin.
Hindi naman pwede basta basta magresign
lalo na hindi rin naman tayo sigurado
na ang lilipatan natin ay hindi rin ganito ‘di ba?
So anong pwede gawin?
FIND A SUPPORT GROUP TOXIC

Support group may be your own family
or yung barkada mismo.
A group that will allow us to vent out
without any judgments.
A group where it is okay to make mistakes
and still support us all the way.
A group na kumportable tayo
makipagkwentuhan at makipagtawanan
other than talking about work.
With their help, at least we would be able
to feel motivated to start another day tomorrow.

MAKE RELAXATION A PART OF YOUR ROUTINE TOXIC

Let me ask you…
What makes you happy and relaxed?
- Reading a book?
- Long bath?
- Tambay sa coffee shop?
- Strolling in the park?
Then DO IT!
Make it a routine.
Huwag nating hayaang pigilan tayo
just because our work is so demanding.
Kung nga ang trabaho nabibigyan natin ng oras,
the more that we should do it to ourselves right?
We wouldn’t be able to function well
kapag puno tayo ng negativity
at stress. So ang solusyon is to
cure it and drink our ‘happy pill’.
Make self-care a part of your routine.
Huwag nating hayaang lamunin tayo
ng trabaho at kaguluhan sa trabaho.

Stressed na nga sa trabaho,
magpapastress pa sa traffic?
Stressed na nga kay boss,
Magagalit pa pag-uwi dahil walang ulam?
Stressed na nga buong araw,
papatulan pa yung naningit sa atin sa kalsada?
We had enough during the day.
Sabi nga, quota na tayo sa araw na ito.
Huwag na nating dagdagan ng iba pang
nakakastress na bagay kasi lalo lang
lalaki at lalala ang problema natin.
Hangga’t maaari, iwasan natin
at huwag na pumatol sa mga bagay na
wala naman tayong control.
Lahat naman may paraan at solusyon
kaya chill na lang at huwag na init ulo beybeh!
