We always hear this,
“Anumang sobra ay nakasasama.”
Sobrang pagkain ng matatamis,
diabetes ang aabutin.
Sobrang pagpupuyat at pagpapakapagod,
fatigue ang kahihinatnan.
Sobrang higpit ng pagmamahal sa jowa,
nakasasakal naman.
Kung madalas at sobra ang pagsho-shopping,
for sure halos walang ipon.
At ang sobra ring pagtitipid?
Baka gutom ang aabutin.
Baka rin masyado nang dine-deprive ang sarili
sa mga bagay na pwede namang ma-enjoy paminsan-minsan.
Minsan, sa sobrang higpit sa pagma-manage ng pera
at busy sa pagpapayaman,
nakalilimutan natin tayo ay tao pa rin.
Na kailangang mag-enjoy at magpakasaya.
Tama na muna ang pagiging workaholic!
Sabi nga nila, ‘work-life balance’. Paano?

Hindi naman masama na regaluhan natin ang sarili
ng bagong sapatos, damit o kaya naman ay massage.
At kung makapag-budget ng mas malaking halaga,
pwede ring mag-1-day vacation sa pinakamalapit na beach.
Let us taste and enjoy the fruit of our own labor.
Sa ilang linggong paghihirap para ma-meet
ang quota at deadlines ba naman…
