Do these things resonate with you? I’m not speaking to you to make you feel insulted or slighted. I’m doing this in hopes of making you realize that you can completely turn around this point of vulnerability by simply observing a child?’s ways, and maybe, learn a thing or two about how a young mind can choose to stay the course and be dedicated to completing a task or goal.
Have you seen a child in the following scenarios?
Nakakatuwang isipin how children can be fearless and be effortlessly passionate about certain things – kahit masaktan, mahulog, madapa, at mapagod, hindi sila titigil.
Makikita natin how determined they are. Iiyak lang sandali kapag may setback, pero go na uli after a few minutes!
What’s their secret?
THEY ARE COMMITTED.
Committed silang matutong sumakay ng bike. Kahit mahulog, tuloy pa rin.
Committed silang maglaro at mag-enjoy, kahit may panganib silang pinagdadaanan.
Committed silang kumanta at mag-enjoy.
Kung napapansin niyo, children can be committed with complete abandon – regardless of what the outcome or results of their undertaking may be.
This is a trait, we, grown-ups ought to admire and emulate.
If we allow ourselves to wallow in despair or self-pity, eh malamang sa malamang:
Hindi tayo matututong mag-bike.
Hindi tayo makakaakyat ng slide.
Hindi tayo magwawagi sa anumang pa-contest.
KAPIT LANG. I-PUSH MO ‘YAN. ITULOY MO LANG.
There will always be risks, challenges, and pitfalls that we are bound to encounter in the future. Kaya dapat, paghandaan natin ang mga ito. Fight to stay committed, stay focused, and keep your eyes on the prize!
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
What is stopping you from fully achieving your targets?
How can you stay committed in everything you do?
